Top Five Haunted Attractions Around Cincinnati

It’s that time of year! The nights are crisp, and Cincinnatians are ready to check out all of the best local haunted attractions. Here, we have complied a list of Cincinnati favorites to make sure to check out between now and October 31!

The Dent Schoolhouse

Located in Dent, Ohio, this is a choice spot for West-siders to celebrate spooky festivities, and even East-siders are likely to make the long drive for this award-winning haunt. Open Thursday through Sunday until November 6, admission is $25 on Fridays and Saturdays and only $20 on Thursdays and Sundays. Also offered at the Dent Schoolhouse are Ghost Tours every Wednesday in October! This event negates the actors and props and instead gives a real, lights-off tour of the real hauntings of the Dent Schoolhouse!

Sandyland Acres

Also offering an award-winning experience, Sandyland Acres is a favorite and a hidden gem for Northern Kentuckians. Located in Petersburg, Kentucky, this haunting in a farm-setting offers both a haunted hayride as well as a haunted barn experience, and guests can do both with a combination guest pass that can be purchased for $23. This attraction operates from 8 pm till midnight on Friday and Saturday nights until October 30.

The USS Nightmare

A longstanding Cincinnati tradition located at Newport on the Levee, this haunted ship has been offering spooky fun for nearly 25 years. This attraction gets a special recognition as being one of the longer haunted attractions, taking nearly 30 minutes to get through both decks of the scary dredge boat. The USS Nightmare operates from Wednesday to Sunday until October 31; hours are 7 pm until 11 pm, but open until 1 am on the weekends.

Wilmington Haunted Hollow Ride

Yet another award-winning attraction, the Wilmington Haunted Hollow Ride has been luring Cincinnati thrill-seekers to make the trek to Wilmington for years to be scared! At $5o per person for admission, the haunted bus ride has expanded over the years to also include the Eville Asylum, the Slaughter Hotel, and the Field of Terrors. Guests can enjoy the attractions from 7:30 pm until midnight every Friday and Saturday night in October.

All Hallows’ Eve Terror Town

Located in Williamsburg, Ohio, this attraction is set up to simulate a historical town. One of the newer attractions on the list, it offers something a little more extreme than some of the others: the option to be part of the scare. That’s right- for an upgraded admission, you can don a bracelet that allows the actors to capture you and be part of a scary plot of events. This option is not for the faint of heart, nor is it for anyone under the age of 18 (although the rest of the experiences are for spook-lovers of all ages). Admission is $25 for a basic pass, and $35 for the upgraded pass. Terror Town runs on Fridays and Saturdays until November 6 from 7 pm until 2 am.
